Message from the Head of School

Welcome to The Nairobi Academy. We are a school celebrated for its warmth, its energy and its unmistakable pizzazz. From the moment you step onto our campus, you will meet confident, grounded young people and a staff community dedicated to excellence.

At the heart of our identity is UBUNTUI am because we are. This spirit defines how we learn, how we care for one another and how we grow together. We blend a warm community spirit with a professional, forward-thinking ethos that prepares our students for a rapidly changing world.

At The Nairobi Academy, learning begins in Early Years and flows seamlessly through Preparatory and into High School. We are deliberate in guiding every child through each key stage with care, ambition and clarity of purpose. We aspire for all our students to become True Blues—those who start with us in the early years and graduate after Sixth Form as well-rounded, articulate and principled global citizens.

We offer a world-class curriculum anchored in the British National Curriculum, and in Sixth Form post-IGCSE we provide three diverse and internationally respected options:

  • Cambridge A-Levels
  • BTEC Level 3 National Diploma
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)

This breadth of pathways ensures that every learner finds a route that aligns with their strengths, passions and future aspirations. For five decades, The Nairobi Academy has maintained a 100% university placement rate, with our graduates progressing to leading institutions across Africa, Europe, North America, the Middle East, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and Australasia.

Ours is a happy, inclusive and vibrant school where diversity is celebrated, talent is nurtured and student life is rich with opportunity. Whether in academics, sports, performing arts, community and service learning, or leadership, our students are encouraged to discover their voice and shape their own story.

Thank you for considering The Nairobi Academy for your child’s educational journey. We look forward to welcoming you into a community where every student is known, supported and inspired to flourish.
