About Us

The Nairobi Academy is a coeducational school catering to ages 2–19 and follows the British National Curriculum leading students to take International General Certificate of Secondary Education IGSE and GCE A-Level.

Students take examinations through both the Cambridge International Examinations and Pearson.

Our History

The Nairobi Academy was founded by, Mr Frank Bentley, in 1976. The secondary school has enjoyed over 40 years of success based upon:

  • Creating a positive school ethos
  • Providing high quality teaching and learning
  • Access to a wide variety of extra-curricular activities


We are a private school following the British Curriculum, Cambridge Assessment International Education, preparing students for the IGCSE and A level examination. We admit students from Year 8 at the age of 11+. We also cater for KCSE students who would wish to pursue GCE A-Level.

The Business and Technology Education Council, BTEC, through Pearson has accredited The Nairobi Academy to offer BTEC Level 3 Diploma.
